Mailing list

When you sign up, I store your email address, tester choice, consent and signup dates. I use these to send LINES news and testing invitations. Volunteering to test doesn’t guarantee a place.

Contact messages

The contact form stores your name, email, subject, message and delivery dates so I can reply and retry failed delivery. Resend sends messages to updates@lineseditor.com, which Cloudflare forwards to mobberleygames@gmail.com. Replies go to the email you entered.

To limit spam, the site stores a protected hash of your IP address, not the raw address. Sending a message doesn’t add you to the mailing list. I keep messages while needed to deal with your enquiry, then remove them, or remove them on request.

Park ratings

You can rate a park without an account. When you first submit a rating, the site sets a random browser cookie that lasts up to one year. A hash of that identifier is stored with the park ID, your rating and the date. This lets you change your vote from the same browser. Clearing cookies or switching browsers resets that link.

Your name and email aren’t collected for anonymous ratings or shown on park cards. Earlier ratings submitted while signed in may retain a site-specific ChatGPT user ID. Only the average score and vote count are public. Rating records stay until you request deletion or the rating service closes.

Storage and email delivery

Signup details and ratings are stored in Cloudflare D1 through ChatGPT Sites. The hosting providers process this data to run the site.

Resend sends signup confirmations from updates@lineseditor.com, with replies going to mobberleygames@gmail.com. It also sends me a private signup alert with your email and tester choice. The site stores delivery dates so failed emails can be retried.

Email updates

When I prepare an update, the selected subscribers are added to a LINES group in Resend. Each update has an unsubscribe link. Resend records that choice and skips unsubscribed contacts in future broadcasts. I check those preferences when preparing the next update and remove known unsubscribed addresses from the active list.

Saved drafts, recipient lists and sending dates help manage updates and avoid duplicate sends. People who use the contact form aren’t added to this list.

Analytics and cookies

Cloudflare Web Analytics provides reports on page visits and site performance, rather than profiles of individual visitors.

I don’t sell your data. The site has no advertising trackers or marketing cookies. ChatGPT sign-in uses the hosting service’s authentication cookies. The hosting service may also process technical request data for security and to keep the site running.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, withdraw consent, or raise a concern by emailing the address above. To leave the mailing list, use the link in an update or email with the subject “LINES unsubscribe”.

I keep signup details while development and testing updates are relevant, review them each year, and remove them when no longer needed or when you withdraw consent.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you’re unhappy with how your data is handled.
